Postdoctoral positon in Neuroscience/Biophysics

One postdoctoral positon is available in the Biophysics Biophotonics lab at the European Laboratory for Non Linear Spectroscopy in Florence (http://bio.lens.unifi.it/) for motivated candidates interested in studying the molecular basis of neurodegenerative diseases in living cells with advanced microscopy techniques.
Potential projects may involve:
(1) Studying the surface trafficking of membrane proteins involved in Alzheimer’s disease by means of single molecule tracking in hippocampal neurons
(2) Development and imaging of a Zebrafish model of Alzheimer’s disease

The ideal candidate will have a background in biophysics, molecular biology, cell biology or neuroscience and a strong interest in applying advanced imaging tools.
